Thaila
A 10-meter café racer developed for my capstone project at the Landing School of Yacht Design in Kennebunkport, Maine. The objective was to deliver a vessel ready for manufacturing, including complete schematics, scantlings, and diagrams. The project adheres to ISO and ABYC standards, and includes BP/Delta calculations, propeller and shaft sizing, fuel tank and ventilation compliance, and a full buoyancy analysis for Class III waters. Thalia is powered by a 427 CI LS Whipple high-performance engine, paired with Arneson #6 surface-piercing drives, and includes computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis performed using Simerics software.
