Voxel Beav
Developed during an intensive 10-week Advanced Digital Sculpting course hosted by the Savannah College of Art and Design under the guidance of Professor Jr Songwe. Our final project was the Alessi Beaver Pencil Sharpener. This project involved hundreds of hours dedicated to honing the movement of control points within the practice of direct modeling. The entire form structure was developed from a single unified surface, with control vertices progressively added to increase precision and fidelity. The goal was to accurately match the 3D-scanned data of the original beaver sharpener, emphasizing surface continuity and sculptural detail.
