Raspberry Slacks
Developed as an early piece within what would come to be known as my Orange Lovers series; an interactive book of poetry and portraits. This large-scale wall-mounted painting, 36" x 60", explores layered identity and emotional color through mixed media. Created using a blend of gouache and digital Photoshop painting, the piece merges tactile texture with digital composition.
At its heart, the piece is an exploration of selfhood and the tender hues that emotion wears, establishing the tonal palette and intimate character studies that shape the Orange Lovers project. Centered on capturing the essence of my once beloved partner: the portrait is both affectionate yet playful; marking it a pivotal moment in the evolution of the series.
